This course focuses on safe practices and procedures for forklift operators using multimedia presentations, performance exercises, and group discussions.
Our eight (8) hour Forklift Operations and Safety course is comprised of a theoretical classroom session and a practical forklift driver training component giving the participant the necessary skills to safely operate a forklift in order to reduce accidents and injuries to workers.
An incident investigation is the best way to find the cause of an incident, control the hazard, and prevent similar incidents and further harm or loss.
This program is intended for personnel who are required to carry out or assist in incident and accident investigations in their workplace. These participants will be given the tools to identify the root causes of accidents and make quality recommendations for corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
Per the current Newfoundland & Labrador Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, any employee exposed to harmful concentrations of hazardous materials must be trained and fitted for NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) certified protection.
Our program is intended for those who work in environments that may require the use of protection such as N95, half face, full face APR’, SCBA and SABA.
This course is intended to provide comprehensive information on the requirements and best practices of towing a trailer with a capacity above 4500 Kilograms.
Whether towing a light boat or camping trailer behind a car, a vacation trailer behind your motorhome or a trailer to haul equipment or products, it is critical to balance the load and prepare the trailer and tow vehicle. This course will introduce participants to common problems and their resolutions.
For the experienced driver, it is an opportunity to review and improve existing knowledge and skills; for novice drivers, this material provides fundamental knowledge and understanding of what to expect while trailering.
The driver is ultimately responsible for the safety of the unit and load, and how to appropriately apply the knowledge from the course to their unique equipment setup to safely tow a trailer.
This course is delivered through a combination of in-class theory and practical instruction using trailers with sufficient load capacity to demonstrate the classroom components in addition to actual trailering exercises.
